Pennsylvania doctors estimate at least six babies born with measles
Doctors estimate at least six babies in Pennsylvania were born infected with measles, and two were admitted to intensive care.
Doctors in Pennsylvania estimate that at least six babies have been born infected with measles during the growing outbreak, NBC News reported. Two of the infants became sick enough to be admitted to intensive care. NBC described congenital measles as rarely, if ever, seen in the United States.
The CDC added one measles death to its online tracker, its first acknowledged fatal case linked to the 2026 outbreak, The Hill reported. The tracker does not say when or where the death occurred. Pennsylvania officials have reported four measles deaths, all among unvaccinated people, according to STAT.
