NHS trust removes or suspends 10 staff over Noah Woods records breach
The trust says 10 employees were removed from active duty or suspended while it investigates access to three-year-old Noah Woods’ medical records.

East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust says 10 employees have been removed from active duty or suspended after a breach involving access to the digital medical records of three-year-old Noah Woods. The trust has launched an “urgent” investigation and apologized to his family. It said disciplinary action would be taken if needed.
The trust said it secured the records to prevent access that was not for a legitimate clinical reason and reported the matter to the Information Commissioner’s Office, which confirmed it is making enquiries. A trust spokesperson said the access was identified through a proactive search because the case was high profile. NHS England chief executive Sir Jim Mackey has written to every trust calling for stronger measures against data breaches, the BBC reported.
