Argenx reports Sjögren’s trial setback and celiac disease success

Vyvgart did not outperform placebo in a Phase 3 Sjögren’s trial, while FB102 hit its primary endpoint in a Phase 2 celiac disease study.

Argenx said its Vyvgart did not outperform placebo in a Phase 3 trial in people with Sjögren’s disease, STAT reported. A monitoring board recommended stopping the study for futility, BioPharma Dive reported. Endpoints News reported the company was shutting down the trial.

Argenx also reported positive results for FB102 in a Phase 2 celiac disease study. According to BioPharma Dive, the study showed the drug could prevent gluten-induced intestinal damage in patients with celiac disease. Argenx acquired FB102 in its $2.2 billion takeover of Forte Biosciences.
