BioPharma Dive also reported positive results for the inflammatory eye condition, describing them as another win for the drug after its first approval for dermatomyositis.

Priovant, the Roivant-Pfizer venture developing brepocitinib, reported successful Phase 2 testing for non-infectious uveitis in 2024, BioPharma Dive said. The outlet said trial results suggest brepocitinib may work better than AbbVie’s Humira, but the drugs were not formally tested against one another. Priovant CEO Ben Zimmer said the results suggest brepocitinib could set a new treatment standard.
