The FDA is advising consumers not to buy or use RX7 Articulaciones, a product promoted for joint and muscle pain and sold on websites including ebay.com and possibly in some retail stores. FDA laboratory analysis found diclofenac and dexamethasone, neither listed on the product label.

The FDA said diclofenac is an NSAID, a type of pain and inflammation reliever, that can raise the risk of serious heart and gastrointestinal problems and interact with other medications. Dexamethasone can weaken the immune system and cause high blood sugar, muscle damage and mental health problems. Consumers taking the product should immediately consult a health care professional to safely stop use. The professional should assess corticosteroid withdrawal risks.
