Missouri voters rejected a measure to reverse abortion protections and bar gender-affirming care for minors, while voters in some states supported restrictions on trans youth.

Missouri voters rejected a measure that would have reversed abortion protections and barred some gender-affirming care for minors. Nearly 56% voted against it, STAT reported. KFF Health News said the proposal would have prohibited gender-transition surgery, cross-sex hormone therapy and puberty blockers for minors.
Voters in Virginia and Nevada approved abortion protections, MedPage Today reported. Idaho voters rejected a measure to create abortion rights in state law, preserving the state’s existing restrictions, the outlet said.
MedPage Today reported that Nebraska approved adding existing medical restrictions to its constitution and Arizona passed a measure extending school sports restrictions to private schools. KFF Health News reported support for youth sports restrictions in Washington, with 60% of votes counted Wednesday, and said similar restrictions in Colorado were leading with about 80% counted.
