AbbVie and Genmab reported positive results from a late-stage trial of Epkinly in newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The findings could support use of the drug earlier in treatment, BioPharma Dive reported.

The trial enrolled 900 people at intermediate or high risk of death. Investigators found a 51% relative risk reduction on the trial’s main measure, which BioPharma Dive described as extending lives or slowing disease progression. The companies said they will discuss the results with regulators and present them at a future medical meeting.
