Haleon recalls eight lots of Robitussin Honey CF Max cough syrup
Consumers who bought affected lots should stop using them. Haleon warned of potential severe infections in immunocompromised people.

Haleon voluntarily recalled eight lots of Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult and Robitussin Honey CF Max Nighttime Adult because of microbial contamination, the company said in a notice posted by the FDA. The notice says the recall was announced January 24, 2024. The FDA page says the recall has been completed and the agency has terminated it.
Haleon warned that using affected products could potentially cause severe or life-threatening events, including fungemia or disseminated fungal infection, in immunocompromised people. For non-immunocompromised consumers, life-threatening infections are not likely, but an infection requiring medical intervention cannot be ruled out. Haleon said it had received no reports of related adverse events. Consumers who bought the listed products were told to stop using them and contact Haleon about returns. The notice advises contacting a physician or health care provider about problems that may be related to using the products.
