A 39-year-old woman in Franklin County is Pennsylvania’s sixth reported measles-related death, according to the county coroner’s office. A spokesperson said she had underlying medical conditions and was unvaccinated. The spokesperson described the primary cause of death as a probable acute cardiac event due to possible complications of measles.

As of Friday, Pennsylvania had confirmed 1,136 measles cases and 219 hospitalizations, NBC News reported. Two-thirds of cases were diagnosed in adults. The state Health Department said Monday it was aware of the coroner’s announcement and was conducting a review of the reported death.
