The Trump administration has restored ACA coverage for a small number of people whose plans were canceled in a sweep that removed 760,000 people from the rolls. Insurance industry sources told KFF Health News that some reinstated enrollees were covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. The administration has provided few details about the cancellations or how many have been reversed.

CMS is scrutinizing an additional 419,000 sign-ups. Insurers must report how many people in that group do not respond to outreach by “around mid-to-late November, after the midterm elections,” David Merritt of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association told KFF Health News. In the first review, insurers were asked to contact enrollees at least twice, and people had 30 days to respond with missing information. CMS disenrolled those who did not respond.
