Rural MAHA supporters see little health benefit from Trump policies
Among rural voters who support MAHA, 68% said Trump administration policies had a negative or no impact on community health.

An Associated Press-KFF poll found that about 8 in 10 rural voters said Trump administration policies had a negative effect or no impact on the health of people in their communities. About half of rural voters identify with Make America Healthy Again, and 68% of its supporters gave the same assessment. The poll surveyed 2,241 rural registered voters.
The survey also found nearly half of rural voters said their communities lack enough doctors or other health care providers, and even more reported too few mental health workers. Healthcare costs were a common worry: 80% of working-age rural voters enrolled in Medicaid said they were very or somewhat worried about them. The reports say Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has promoted the MAHA movement, including research on ultraprocessed foods and investment in regenerative agriculture.
